Easter in the Blue Mountains

It’s moments like these that I truly love. The sometimes monotonous, sometimes uninspiring aspects of daily life that consume me are long forgotten when I can explore and spend uninterrupted time with my husband in nature (or on the road singing John Williamson terribly!).

It’s beautiful to be away from responsibility, to be reminded of the beauty that exists everywhere you look, to joke and laugh, to love, to see, and then to come back not so much refreshed as simply reminded to be present with what is, to be with the ebbs and flows, but to never ever forget or take these moments for granted; as family time is what makes life special.

I suppose that’s what makes moments like these all the more special, even if I wish I could hold onto them longer. I am so fortunate to have these at all.

How beautiful are the mountains!?

One of the most sacred parts of the world…

Even if our accommodation SUCKED, this trip didn’t at all.
