Port Macquarie Part II: Tacking Point Lighthouse, Crowdy Head Lighthouse & North Brother Mountain

“We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.” ― Mother Teresa

Windy, windy Port Macquarie (Mid North Coast, NSW), with blue bottles, big beautiful blue skies and hot but pleasant summer highs.

So much of this trip was about water – the ocean, observing the water-covered earth from NASA at the Observatory, refuelling the ‘tank’ and coming back home (in myself) after the big year that was 2018; learning to be fluid, to let go, to surrender to the great deep of life, to renew the spirit.

Blue bottle clusters! Yikes.

“Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”
— John Muir

“She loves the serene brutality of the ocean, loves the electric power she felt with each breath of wet, briny air.”― Holly Black

“What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.” — Richard Bach.

The epic highs at North Brother Mountain!

“if
the ocean
can calm itself,
so can you.
we
are both
salt water
mixed with
air.”
― Nayyirah Waheed

May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun
And find your shoulder to light on,
To bring you luck, happiness and riches
Today, tomorrow and beyond.
~Irish blessing
