On Sunday, we headed out to the beautiful Mount Solitary in Katoomba (Blue Mountains) for a hike. It’s stunning normally, but how beautiful is it at sunrise!? Reminder to self: get up early, get out the camera and get outside.

Be where the sun is.
It’s obvious yet often we forget it. Photography is about patience as much as it is about making the most of opportunities like the sunrise. You won’t get this light everyday but it’s always worth the 5am wake up to see.
