The Light of a New Year

“Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, magic, and power in it.” — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

These photographs were taken on the most beautiful day of 31 December 2013 before the new year rolled in, when I was lucky enough to capture a Superb Wren fluttering at its reflection in my car’s rear-view mirror.

I’m expecting bigger and better things for 2014 and dreaming of growth here at juliegreenart.com, with plans to revamp and expand all that I do. My ambitions are rising. Do you have any special goals for the new year?

Looking up through sunkissed leaves and contemplating the simple beauty of it all is an almost spiritual experience that I want to have daily; a goal for 2014. I am loving this summer season with so much good cheer in the air.

I’ll soon take my camera out for its first adventure of 2014. What would you like to see me photograph this year? Plenty more nature is my idea!

And a couple of mantras for the new year, perhaps:

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, concerned citizens can change world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.”
– Margaret Mead

“You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.” ― Christopher Columbus

Keep being beautiful and inspiring the people around you to be the best they can be! I already sense this year will be more positive, or at least I can hope. Thank you for your absolutely wonderful and astounding support in 2013, I really admire your hearts and minds and think you’re all very special.

Much love, peace & wisdom for 2014,
Julie
