The Tonic of Wildness

Australian Waratah

“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us… We can never have enough of nature…We need to witness our own limits transgressed, and some life pasturing freely where we never wander.”

Henry David Thoreau

  1. These grow wild around here…even in my yard….but they do not always flower. When they do, the flower lasts a long time. And they are really nice to see as you walk around….it is quite a large flower.
